In modern times, classroom instruction alone does not meet all the requirements of the new-age pupil. While knowledge is now accessible at the click of a mouse anytime and anywhere, the role of a teacher remains crucial in shaping the character of students. Teachers must serve as role models, as they are the next best individuals, after parents, to instill moral values in pupils. At various times, a teacher is called upon to be a mentor, counselor, nurse, and guide, wearing many hats to support students’ growth.
